Mining companies are now able to explore for a new, clean source of renewable energy in Queensland as a result of legislation passed by State Parliament today.

Queensland is seeking smart 'optional extras' that can be offered to Queenslanders under the proposed new smartcard driver's licence, Transport Minister Paul Lucas said today.

Natural Resources Minister Stephen Robertson today advised landholders to protect their pets and livestock during the wild dog breeding season.
