(PNEWS) Behind the Invasion of Iraq

Misinforming the Masses
Topic: propaganda

"The global crisis of overproduction is showing up the underlying weakness of the United States real economy, as a result of which U.S. trade and budget deficits are galloping. The euro now poses a credible alternative to the status for the dollar as the global reserve currency, threatening the United States' crucial ability to fund its deficits by soaking up the world's savings.

George Bush’s hard-nosed stand against expanding veterans’ benefits is difficult to understand. One might have thought Bush would do no more than hold the line on spending. After all, this is a president who had just launched the biggest military campaign since the Vietnam War and who styles himself as a "war president."

Rights: The State of Civil Rights; Fueling Genocide

George Curry and Elaine Cassel offer two biting indictments of the current administration’s war on civil liberties,
Nat Hentoff looks at America’s inaction in Darfur,
and Congress considers legislation that puts refugees at risk.
Meanwhile, the media is asking such crucial questions as: "Is it okay to call a lesbian a lesbian?" and
"Does God give the OK to same-sex unions?"
Such is the surreal state of civil liberties eleven days before the Presidential election.

"Each day, 40,000 children around the world die from poverty - and war related killers such as malnutrition and disease. Their deaths, and many adult deaths are preventable with a shift in government priorities. `The numbers stand in long rows like tombstones, monuments to the lives lost to society's neglect': 14 million children die yearly of preventable disease; 100 million people have no shelter; 900 million are illiterate." --Sivard, ("World Military and Social Expenditures") -- 1990; Holly Sklar - ("Brave New World Order")

As Molly Ivins says in "Shrub", "Of Bush's credentials as an economic conservative, there is no question at all -- he owes his political life to big corporate money; he's a CEO's wet dream. He carries their water, he's stumpbroke--however you put it, George W. Bush is a wholly owned subsidiary of corporate America."

(PNEWS) A Vision for America

Submitted by Editor on Sat, 23/10/2004 - 03:39

Putting People Above Profits

George Soros, one of the richest men alive, provided the much needed financing to keep "liberal" radio's Air America viable when it appeared as if that new network would fail. He is pumping funds into other groups, which have as their goal the ousting of George W. Bush.

George Soros does not own a private plane. He has no islands, no yachts, no ranch in Texas, no old and valuable art collection.

Soros has given or pledged $10 million for America Coming Together, $2.6 million for the MoveOn.org Voter Fund and $3 million for the excellent Center for American Progress, which many of you have heard about but I bet didn't know it was a think tank founded by former Clinton chief of staff John Podesta. These groups are working against Bush, however they are not necessarily working with the Democratic Party.

At last we have an organization for Country Music listeners.

This is a non-profit organization, we are not funded by the government and not privately owned, we survive on Donations, Fund Raising and Membership.

The main aim of A.C.M.L.A. is to assist registered members with all queries relative to country music. For example: Radio Stations, Record Stores, Line Dancing Clubs, Country Magazines and Books, the list goes on and on.
