(QldGovSpin) Gulf fisheries given ecological green light

The Gulf of Carpentaria's line and net fisheries have been officially accredited as ecologically sustainable and therefore exempt from Commonwealth export controls, Queensland Primary Industries and Fisheries Minister Henry Palaszczuk said today.

In the days following the Democratic National Convention in Boston this past August, several billionaire Democratic activists secretly met at the famed Aspen Institute in Colorado.

The purpose of their clandestine meeting was "to use their fortunes to engineer the defeat of President George W. Bush," The New Yorker magazine reports in its most recent edition.

Veterans told to be all they can be -- without health care - "The armed services are aggressive in encouraging people to join the military to serve their country and to 'be all you can be', but after leaving the service, almost 1.7 million veterans do not have the right to health care -- discarded by the government after serving their country.

The Queensland Government has welcomed moves by Federal Trade Minister Mark Vaile to establish Productivity Commission inquiry into the dairy industry, but questioned why the same proposal was dismissed less than a fortnight ago.
