On Monday the 28 August, there was a hearing at the Jayapura district court in the case of three persons accused of being involved in the demonstration which took place on the 16 March in Abepura this year. After the accused were driven back to the prison they were met at the front gate of the prison by dozens of police officers in two trucks.
The police began to beat up Nelson Rumbiak, (who was with the accused). They struck him with a rattan stick on the head causing his face to swell. When he fell to the ground several policemen kicked him in the left rib while stamping on his body. He was badly wounded in the ribs. Several police then chased the three accused men into the prison. They also threatened to beat up prison officers who were trying to prevent the police from entering the prison. When the lawyers and parents of the accused men arrived shortly after this incident, the police fled in their vans.

Since our last update in June, there has been some good news. The Government's decision to deny asylum to David Wainggai (who had been denied refuge status by the Immigration Department on the grounds that he had the right to live in Japan), was overturned by the independent Refugee Review Tribunal at the end of July. The tribunal ruled that David Wainggai was owed protection by Australia under the terms of the refugee convention. The Government also dropped its proposed bill on 'tough new border-protection laws' when it realized that members of its own party would cross the floor in the Senate to vote with the opposition against it.
On August 23, human rights group Amnesty International accused Israel of committing war crimes. Amnesty said that the pattern and scope of Israel's bombing campaign in Lebanon, statements by Israeli officials and the scale of damage inflicted on civilian infrastructure "indicated that such destruction was deliberate and part of a military strategy, rather than 'collateral damage'".

Beyond Law and Order Populism: Launch of the Smart Justice Campaign 2006
Punitive law and order or 'tough on crime' policies have negative impacts upon society. Law and order populism divides communities. It leads to higher levels of community conflict and criminalises marginalised communities.

Once dismissed by cynics as a "conspiracy theory" the New World Order is rapidly becoming a reality. We look at its origins, how it operates and how it affects the lives of everyone.

As the globalists continue on their irreversible course toward international enslavement, it is obvious that their ultimate goal will be attained via the imposition of a one-world government and religion.
"It is well enough that people of the nation (ditto Australia) do not understand our Banking and Monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a Revolution before tomorrow morning."

Stealing your country.
by Terry Worthing
Have you ever wondered how it is that your country is being taken over by international capitalism? Do you ever wonder about the methodology, the how and the why? Have you even realised that Australia is controlled by International Government, or same thing, that International Capitalism is the power that presently decides world direction?
Hi, my name is Beau and I'm currently onboard the Esperanza in my home country the Philippines. There is an island here called Rapu Rapu with an open pit mine extracting a range of different metals using highly toxic cyanide. This Australian owned mining operation was recently reopened despite toxic spills causing fish kills and environmental damage. We have just received new information that names the banks that are funding the operation of this mine and the destruction of the environment of Rapu Rapu.
