Help Close Guantanamo Bay Prison Forever!

Adel Hamad grew up in a small village in Sudan. Through hard work, he became a schoolteacher and hospital assistant. To support his family he took a better job at a community hospital in Afghanistan. Then late one night he was torn from his bed and sent to hell, as Guantanamo Bay Detainee #940.

Adel Hamad has had no trial. He has seen no family members for four years. Even US military officers reviewing his situation have called his detention "unconscionable." But he and nearly 400 other prisoners are still trapped at Guantanamo. Last week US Defense Secretary Robert Gates finally said Guantanamo should be closed. President Bush's advisors are split down the middle on this issue -- a massive global outcry could tip the balance, and push Bush to close Guantanamo forever. Click below to sign the Close Guantanamo petition, and we'll run ads next week in major US papers announcing the number of signatures:

4 Years too long! Bring the Troops Home!

IRAQ: Four years after the US-led invasion of Iraq, the country is wracked by ongoing and escalating violence. Hundreds of thousands of Iraqis have died, according to a study published in the respected British medical journal The Lancet in October.

The corporate media's coverage of the Iraq conflagration has focused only on reports of sectarian violence between Sunni and Shiite Iraqis. This violence is stripped of political context and conflated with the post-invasion surge in common criminality and the brutality of US and US-controlled proxy forces to obscure the roots of the ongoing bloodshed. The media presents the greatest threat to Iraqis as not being the occupation but other Iraqis and therefore, the logic goes, the occupation's end. Sectarian violence is today the key justification espoused by Washington for maintaining US troops in Iraq.

Fake Congressional Opposition to War

The US electorate sent a clear, unequivocal message in the November mid-term elections. End the Iraq war and bring home the troops. Many supporting war in the 109th Congress lost out to more moderate voices taking over their seats because voters want change and expect new faces to deliver starting with the top issue on voters' minds in recent polls - Iraq. A majority of the public demands it, protests and heated rhetoric continue building over it, and the Congress is about to disappoint again proving getting into war is easy but even an act of Congress can't get us out because doing nothing is less risky than taking a stand against the prevailing view in Washington.

'War crime risk for MPs in 'retro' case against Hicks'

Australia's support of a new, retrospective terrorism charge against David Hicks has put members of the Federal Government at serious risk of committing a war crime, a leading Victorian silk and international law expert has warned.

Peter Vickery, QC, said members of the Government were at risk of breaching the Australian criminal code as well as Australia's international treaty obligations by urging the US to proceed with the present draft charges against Hicks.

Mr Vickery, an International Commission of Jurists special "rapporteur" on Hicks, said the charge of "material support for terrorism" against Hicks was a classic retrospective law which did not exist in 2001.

1) Civil war in Iraq: we continue to support the resistance

1) Civil war in Iraq: we continue to support the resistance

We speak plain language: the Sunni-Shiite conflict in Iraq has grown in the course of the last six months into a sort of civil war.

It helps little, to simply argue against this position by pointing out that all this has been caused by the machinations of the USA and of Zionism - as many of our friends in the resistance like to do. Surely the USA contributed substantially to this split, without however carrying this on their banner from the outset. For the civil war does not indicate by any means the success of Washington, but its total fiasco, its complete loss of control of the situation.

Dear friends,

I just joined a global virtual peace march demanding that the new US Congress stop President Bush's escalation in Iraq and demand a real peace plan, and I thought you might be interested. Please see the email below.

Subject: Join Saturday's global peace march... without Leaving Your House!

This Saturday, hundreds of thousands of Americans will march on Washington DC to demand peace and justice in Iraq and the Middle East. We can be there too, raising a global voice of solidarity -- through our own worldwide virtual march. Time is short, so add your voice and join the march today!

The Great Decider, ruler of nothing but the corrupt, owner of nothing but the usurped and commander of the biggest military travesty in modern history has 'decided' that he above all experts, all soldiers, all advise and all public opinion that 'He Knows Best' and all the US People can do is - whine some more with the cheesy platitudes that mean nothing?

*Here's some reality check points for the majority that call themselves US Citizens:*

In the Afghanistan Caves where Bin Laden was allegedly 'holed up' is probably a massive cartel of opium producers... why aren't the US Special Forces going in there with great prejudice to check and reveal the wicked people behind the 6000 tons of opium coming out of Afghanistan?

Prime Minister of Israel Ehud Olmert- by Barry Chamish

When Ehud Olmert returns from his mysterious trip to China, he will be indicted. The question is, will this be the New World Order trial of the century?

Quoted from the Jerusalem Post: "The State Attorney's Office has decided to open a full-fledged criminal investigation against Prime Minister Ehud Olmert regarding his alleged intervention in the government tender for the sale of the controlling interest in Bank Leumi, Channel 10 reported Tuesday evening. According to the allegations, Olmert intervened in the tender for the privatization of Bank Leumi on behalf of two personal friends with whom he also had business connections, American businessman Daniel Abraham and Australian businessman Frank Lowy."

Voodoo Verbotten!, SS Save GWB from Terrorist's Voodoo Threat
Voodoo Verbotten! by SS, aka: Secret Service: SS Save GWB from Terrorist's Voodoo Threat: (Chicken Dinner Anyone?)

(Distributor's note: Could Voodoo work? In the process of making chicken dinner, could we all just think "I hope GWB dies." and have it would work? GWB and the SS seem very concerned over the voodoo factor. GWB does not like to see or hear negative waves. He has negative wave T-Shirt people arrested. Doesn't want to go to the CA Legislators because one or two "heckled" him with some pesky facts the last time he visited CA. Maybe there is something to this Voodoo stuff. If it works on GWB we can go down the rest of our representatives denying Equality & Freedom for All, in essence violating their oaths to uphold the Constitution and it's protections of Americans including their own government. Fascism, Oppression, Treason and Tyranny in my opinion.)
