Eat, die and learn?

Eat, die and learn?Cycad (and Lepidozamia)seeds are normally poisonous so when mr/ms geniostoma reported that they were eaten by rodents, we investigated. We found mainly eaten seeds, however we also found a few full seeds, which come from last years crop, nearly one year ago. Does this suggest that the rats are learning to leave cycad seeds alone using the eat, die and learn technique? The seeds are the size of a large pecan nut. See also the burrow of a so-called Australian tarantula.
