Jason Hatch 32 and Dave Pike aged 48 from Gloucester scaled the building at around 6.00am this morning to highlight the plight of desperate dads.

Said Mr Hatch who is National Co-ordinator for the campaign group Fathers 4 Justice "I'd love just to get to see my kids let alone spend more time with them but I welcome Mr Howard's comments. It's a sign of how passionate I am to be a dad that I feel it necessary to have to climb a court roof and break the law to highlight this crisis."

Said F4J Founder Matt O'Connor "We wholeheartedly welcome the Conservatives important initiative on this issue, in particular their linking of fatherlessness with the explosion in young offending since the introduction of the 1989 Children Act. 1 in 4 teenagers is now a criminal and the cost to the country according to the Audit Office was £10 Billion last year."
