Ms Clark was invited by the Hope Vale Aboriginal Community Council to open the chambers which have now become part of the community's Jack Bambie building.
"The Hope Vale council have themselves funded an extension to the Jack Bambie building to include a new council chambers and office space," she said.
"I am delighted to be in Hope Vale today to tour and open these new facilities.
"The Jack Bambie building is named after a Hope Vale man who was a community police sergeant, council chairman and a strong advocate for law and order. This makes an auspicious home for the council."

"The Hope Vale Aboriginal Community Council is to be congratulated for the work it has put into this new chambers," Mr O'Brien said.
"It shows how committed the council is to taking a strong role in the community's future."
