(Sydney Indymedia) Howard's history with Papua New Guinea

Submitted by Editor on Sat, 31/07/2004 - 17:13

(not Bush+Saudi-Arabia)

By 1962, many things had changed.

L.F. Howard had died in 1955 (however the custodian had not been informed) and his son John had reached legal age, finishing a law degree at Sydney University.

If indeed the transfer was not legal it would mean that in 1962 John Howard himself (and his brothers) were the legal custodians of the property.

The Howard Plantations form an interesting link between Papua New Guinea and the present Prime Minister of Australia.

It would be interesting to hear from anybody that knows more of this fascinating story.

If so, could they please contact this paper. --> Editorial@postcourier.com.pg
