Transport Drivers need to fight back

Driving Hours

The current driving hours, and driving hours variations are adequate in their present form, they allow enough flexibility to carry out most tasks associated with livestock and general transport and remain within the law, I believe that safety is not compromised under the present systems.

The Great Global Warming Swindle

I was asked to write to the Victorian Government to help block a controversial devellopment proposed in Melbourne. This is my reply.

Dear Sheila,

I'd drop the Victorian Government a letter on this if I thought it'd do any good. But seeing as how it's a Labour government controlled by the Christian right, as is the Liberal party, I'd be wasting my time!

Where is Democracy

Where are we Going?

Dr. Keith Suter is the Australian contact for Club of Rome, a ‘new world order’ is on his agenda, he, like Kevin Rudd, have been building a profile on the morning show ‘Sunrise’ on the Seven network, but then maybe the Seven network is aware of their motives and is the tool for pushing the agenda of ambitious groups like The Club of Rome, The Labor Party, The Climate Change advocates, The Muslim Society, Dictatorial State Premiers and Globalizing Federal Governments.

Media avoids Southern Cross Party Ltd

Try as we may all press released about Southern Cross Party is being ignored by the main stream media, I have emailed all the current affairs programs, national talk-back shows on radio and all major newspapers around Australia, not one response.
When I enquired why, it was all about money, we need to spend a small fortune on advertising, then we will get some editorial coverage, makes it hard for a new party to get off the ground and it's not surprising so many fail in the early stages.

Dr Ivan Molloy on Political Vacuum

Through their budgets, Howard and Rudd have drawn a line in the sand. The Government's core interest is corporate capital, while Rudd is captive of the unions. Apart from that, however, there is no real ideological difference between them. Both embrace managerialism, economic rationalism and the globalisation of Australia's economy, leaving a vast mass of Australian voters politically unrepresented .read more

Peter Beattie! Friend or Foe

Kevin Rudd must be wondering what he has done to Peter Beattie, with the Labour Party on the nose in Queensland at the moment over forced Council amalgamations. It would surprise me if Federal Labour can win one seat in Queensland with the impending forced council amalgamations set to destroy many small western communities, the heavy handed tactics employed by the State Government will be seen as 'par for the course' by all Labour Government supporters State or Federal.read more

Do you support Council amalgamations?

* Yes\n* No\n* \n* \n* \n

Southern Cross Party says NO to Council amalgamations

Here we go again, the Premier has set himself up as judge and executioner on what is good for the State of Queensland, we now have a dictator running the state, the 'Boy' Minister Andrew Fraser is also showing himself to be rude and arrogant with no regard for the local government act or the wishes of the Queensland people, his attitude is to be of great concern if this is the face of labour politics in the future.read more

Southern Cross Party Supports National Transport Shutdown

A National transport shutdown will be required if the Government doesn’t listen to operators in the heavy vehicle industry; the continual barrage of legislation aimed at crippling the industry under the guise of being ‘a safety initiative’ will cause shortages in freight services as more operators are forced out of the industry. I also believe that the Transport Minister, Queensland Transport and Main Roads, have failed in their duty of care by not ensuring the provision of adequate infrastructure to support the legislation.

Southern Cross Party Supports Transport Industry

“New log book fines and demerit points for driving offences will now compound the driver shortage in the road transport sector in Queensland, not only are they ill conceived they are going to make life on the road impossible; demerit points for log book breaches will see many drivers lose their licences and hence their livelihood leaving families without an income.read more
