POLL: 37% RESPONDENTS PREFER FAMILY FIRST AS MINOR PARTY, 35% PREFER GREENS

Whilst not placing too much emphasis on this poll, Family First believes the poll reflects the feedback candidates have been receiving across all electorate.

Whilst the economy is performing strongly, Australian families are still hurting in terms of marriage breakdowns, high rates of youth suicide, increasing drug and alcohol addictions, and the cost of schooling.

Family First's Party Leader, Andrea Mason, today stated Australian families see Family First as representing them in Canberra.

"We hope to be their advocate in Canberra," she said.

Family First says it wants government to place more focus on families through initiatives such as Family Impact Statements on all cabinet submissions, better quality education and decreased schooling costs, more financial assistance to families such as through income splitting arrangements, fairer child custody laws, and superannuation access for first home buyers.
