DoCS Protest rally
i been thinking something needs to be done about DoCS i got to be honest i am getting frustrated about reading about the evil DoCS is doing and that nothing seems to be being done about it. Writing posts on sites like altnews is good but it wont get much done. i understand a lot of people have been threatened by DoCS. I have personally not had DoCS attack me or threaten me but they murdered one of my close friends (yes MURDERED).
My friends family tried taking it to the media but DoCS threatened the media with sueing them and threatened the family to take rest of the kids off them and that they would never see any of their kids again (this was before they murdered my friend) my friends dad has not given up thank goodness and he is trying to plan stuff but he in NSW and he busy with courts etc and due to court orders ordering his silence before media not much he can do but the court orders not against me but i cant say much due to delicateness of the situation as i want him to have best chance against DoCS possible. But i am wanting to see some form of real protest happen something that DoCS cant just cover up that the media can take hold of and run with.
I dont want to organise the protest rally because im only young (in my early 20's) and i dont know how to organise something on the scale im thinking of (im thinking of a nation wide protest in front of DoCS offices and out front of parliment house and in every major city in major areas with a mass walk through major streets. Something big enough that media will grab onto as hopefully front page news and something that people all round australia especially politicians not able to ignore.
is they anyone out their who has any idea of how this could be arranged?

What is wrong with you people
I work for qld Dchs and I am proud to do so. I have never heard so much garbage in all my life. What is wrong with you people? of course there are some bad workers like in any field but the majority are good workers trying to do their best. It is difficult with communities and families having broken down to such a sorry state.
Spend a week in our shoes and when you see the little broken bodies that pass through our doors you may not be so quick with your email.
We dont always get it right but can only go on the information we are able to get. If we werent around what would happen to the children who are sexually, physically and emotionally abused, you can say what you like but until you have seen that dont make out that it doesnt happen. Spend a few nights having nightmares over what families do to their children then write a post.
Have a petition, help get more resources we would embrace that. Cut our case loads down, offer more training, demand education to you young adults. Help fight against abuse, but be constructive.

You have no place in writing us off in the first line of your post. So typically DoCS.
THOUSANDS of pages of grief and pain, destruction, demise - and with all your experience and qualifications all you can do is CRITICISE.
Perhaps you should spend more time reading - and don't just not believe and move onto what you have to say.... what you have to say is true - but we are here discussing purely that which is happening RIGHT HERE AND RIGHT NOW.
If you would like to see what we are BEING CONSTRUCTIVE AND DOING ABOUT IT... please stay tuned for the CMC ordered Royal Commission Inquiry that has been ordered onto the Department of Child Safety Qld.
Now - are you going to brush that news aside? Knowing full well, not just anyone can ask for a Royal Commission Inquiry into a Govt. Department unless they have been at it for quite some time, put unlimited resources and amounts of effort into the salvage of the only thing they live for.
If you are in this forum - you are here to discuss the disjustice the DoCS bring onto INNOCENT families. We are not discussing anything else they do - just what they have got WRONG!

I wouldn't consider myself a young adult. I've been 21 and I've been 30. I'm heading towards being middle aged.
If you had read all the posts here, not everybody is saying that every single DoCS worker is a bad worker.
I for one have never said anything anywhere about abolishing DoCS. I personally believe that they do have a place in society. Sadly there are children out there who are physically, emotionally and mentally abused by their parents.
I've seen it myself where a small child, a relative of my own, suffered at the hands of her mother who had kept her depression so well hidden that nobody, not even DoCS, picked up on it. Unfortunately the child was killed and not only did her mother ruin her daughter's life, but she also ruined her own and those of her extended family.
The point of all of this is that not all children in protective custody have been harmed in any way.
Not all assessments are carried out correctly. The Child Protection Act 1999 is not followed the way in which it is set out. Intake Officers do not religiously investigate every possible piece of information they can get their hands on to make an accurate assessment and manipulation, short cuts and curruption is rife.
For all you know, every parent who posts here, although our cases are different, could very well be talking about the exact same CSOs in the exact same offices. Posts here do not mean we are talking about every worker in every office.
I for one would be very interested in knowing exactly who the "bad eggs" are in each office. But it's likely something I will never know.
Yes, there are many frustrated and angry parents here who think every CSO in every office is a base born piece of something you would wipe off the bottom of your shoe, but people are entitled to vent their frustrations.
For others here, including myself, ranting and raving is not a pro-active option and we are out to seek change.
Change to the "system" to help children who are in genuine need... Change to the Child Protection Act 1999... Change to the way DoCS officers behave and manage their cases... Change to the way DoCS officers treat parents and children.
I have 2 children in protective custody. I have a printed copy of the Child Protection Act 1999 that has 26 page flags on it where DoCS breached the Act. I have an affidavit which, along with witnesses, proves one particular CSO to have lied. I have 3 witnesses who prove a Team Leader to have lied. I have photographic evidence that disproves allegations. I have written evidence that disproves allegations. I have medical evidence that disproves allegations. I have an article of clothing that disproves allegations. I solicitor has a video that disproves allegations.
You can not sit there and say that what parents are saying here is garbage. Most of us here have spoken out because we have proof of what we claim.

Hello, my names Ashlea i'm 14 years old and i have two younger brothers who are living with my father and step mum, they are very abusive, violent and just horrible peopl.
They have abused myself and my older brother who is stil suffering from the violence from my dad.
I think about 10 complaints have been made to Docs about them and all they keep saying to us is that my brothers have to make that call (they are 7 and 4) and like my dad or step mum will let them call Docs, luckily Anthong (7) has a real dad but Adam(4) is stuck there, its bull crap those two boys i love to death but DoCs is just making it harder to let them have a real life and a real loving family.
sorry for the life story but like i said i'm 14 and even i have said to DoCs that i have been abused but they dont care.
So every-one needs to stick together and maybe somthing will get done

Great idea David and long overdue. We (Altnews) are interested in helping make your protest as effective as possible.
It appears to us that maybe a PETITION may be the most effective means of drawing attention to the need to do something about DOCS. Many more people will sign a petition rather than would turn up waving placards at a protest rally somewhere.
But writing a good and effective petition is not easy. We believe that amongst the people who have been adversely affected by DOCS and who visit this site, there would be many with the necessary skills to come up with suitable wording for a petition

that have had allegations made by people manipulating the system to hurt another person out of spite.

Yes DOCS management are utterly corrupt from the top downwards and are are quite capable of allowing murder to occur if that is what it takes to cover up their misdeeds-unfortunately the NSW so called justice system ferociously protects DOCS and all other corrupt NSW officials and the problems with DOCS will not be overcome until the corrupt workings of the NSW judicial system are also exposed and ended-I can speak from 10 years hellish experience as a DOCS officer illegally removed from my employment after trying to protect severely disabled from abuse and neglect inflicted by DOCS staff-the disability sector of DOCS is now transferred into another department (DADHC) but the problems remain-i am fighting still to expose this aspect of DOCS corruption and also cover up by courts
NSW DoCS - abuse of power
I believe if more of us stood up to them - DoCS management and NSW political system. We can expose their corruption.
Remember prior to the Royal Commission on police corruption it was like a police state in NSW. Some say the Royal commission achieved nothing.
But don't forget how openly they carried out child prositution networks within DoCS, exploiting vulnerable children in their care. If these thing are happening now it is not so blatant. This is one small step forward.
The silence has been broken. I know there are child molesters working within DoCS, the workers who stumble on evidence are put on Workcover - given exdended paid leave.
I also know that the unit that provides child employment permits is rife with child molesters and possibly running some sort of network for peadophiles. Keep exposing them where ever you can. We will clean DoCS.
devious DoCS
I worked for devious DoCS from 1993 to 2005. I witnessed some diabolical behaviour from the staff especially senior management. I spoke against such behaviuor and as a result I was dismissed for 'misconduct'. Reasons given for my misconduct was not attending an Healthquest assessment. The Commissioner at Industrail Relations Commission hearing was shocked at the reason given for my dismissal, and ordered DoCS to provide me with a redundecy / compensation. I am stil waiting for my redundency / compensation. Prior to this in 2004, when I took them to the Administrative Decisions Tribunal, again DoCS was odered to pay me compensation in form of a reduncency. Not suprisingly DoCS did not pay. Instead of solving issues raised DoCS deciedes to punish those who raise them in most diabolical way - my punishment was to employ a women to break up my marraige.
Corruption From the Top Down
In the climate of self-interest from the top down, not only DoCS is dysfunctional, but also the other Departments as well.
As you point out, even the Industrial Relaions Commission and Administrative Decisions Tribunal, while costing the public purse a fortune, fail (see cartoons at http://www.wbde.org/artwork.php . Justice is not delivered. The corrupt are coddled and promoted until they sit on top of the pile. And heaven help whomever rocks the boat.
Corrupt countries are everywhere, but it comes as a surprise to us that this country is corrupt from the top down.
I believe that the answer will not come from within our country http://sydney.indymedia.org.au/node/51478 - people simply do not realise how bad it is until they make a stand. Then they are isolated, branded 'insane' by the government psychos at HealthQuest and Comcare - and then, if they can survive with their health and family intact they are doing well.
By the way, not many marriages survive being targetted by the government.
Did you see the movie "The Insider" regarding the tobacco industry? I doubt that the government set to and "hired a women to break up my marriage", and suggest that you consider leaving that opinion out of your story as it detracts from more provable items in your sad plight.

That would be a great idea but i think you will find many people not prepared to expose themselves in fear of retaliation from this department and its little feminazi storm troopers.
In reference to the above comment (the Lady from NSW) DOCS in Qld stands for the Department of Child Safety.
Now safety is not an issue with these people so I don't know why they use it.
When the original writer speaks of murder I think maybe his friend possibly might have committed suicide due to the abuse DOCS inflicted upon his or her life. I don't know this I am just trying to read between the lines.
So at the end of the day we all agree we have a corrupt abusive disgusting out of control system Australia wide which requires a major shake up and exposure.

Her parents had found medication that was helping her but Dr's disagreed. They thought she was pregnant when she in fact had cancer and wouldnt back down even when proven wrong.
they then forced chemo onto her 3 times stronger then the recomended dosage. her dr recomended a dosage and docs said no and made them give her more.
They made her have psych tests a day after chemo then said she was not well enough to make decisions for herself and because of the chemo overdoses she died.
instead of losing hair in clumps day after her first treatment ALL her hair fell out. i cant talk much buot it due to media and court blocks placed by DoCS.

I never heard of DoCS (Dept Of Community Services) threatening anyone or murdering or killing anyone, but i do say that DoCS is totally incompetent within how it works and how it handles cases and people with in its own dept and since there seems to be no justice here in Australia, DoCS are getting away with lots of incompetent things that they are doing.
A classic example of this is when i moved to the area I am currently living around 10 years ago, since that time i have had nothing but troubles from DoCS, This starts when my family and I was moved to an area by Dept of Housing, we came across a child molester and suddenly we had DoCS knocking on our door informing us of this.
Fair enough, but when this molester would not leave my family alone, then it got worse, so I applied for a transfer to get away from this child molester and having that DoCS knew why we were moving and also Housing being informed of why we were wanting a transfer, they did not work together like they should have and then proceeded to move my new family and I a block of units away from this very same child molester we were attempting to get away from in the first place.
And that is just within the first 5 years of having lived here, after that it also gets worse with me having a history of epilepsy from childhood myself and being on controversial anti convulsants or Anti Epileptic Drugs such as tegretol and being "legally" high off them, not to mention that the grand mal seizures i had made me unconscious and gave me temporary amnesia, so much so that i used to just drop and fall to the ground almost every time I had a seizure.
But getting back to the facts, it was not till after we moved in that we found out that DoCS and the New South Wales Housing Dept moved us a block of units away, giving DoCS the perfect excuse to stay involved in my family and spy on us...well i am sure that you could imagine the added stress not just on me but my whole family and those those who knew us.
so after being moved to another area yet again, DoCs split my family and i up gave custody to my ex which ok, but here is the thing, DoCS forced my ex to take AVO's out on me when there was no reason for them in the first place, Also DoCS allowed my children to be sexually molested about 3 more times after the first probable molestation with being a block of units away from this guy we tried to get away from.
This in itself should show just how incompetent DoCS are, and will still be if something is not done about them, Past events have shown to be useless from other court hearings and investigations, so it is about time that DoCS be closed for good and nothing ever like it be opened again, instead i believe that the responsibilities of DoCS should be given to other Government Dept that can prove that they are competent in handling affairs.
It seems that the Australian Government and justice is still a one sided affair too as i can not get or find anyone to help me take DoCS, Dept of Housing and the NSW Health system to court to seek justice in return for what has been done to my family and I. people say its the people in the community that abuse the system, well i really believe its not us abusing the system, its the system abusing us.
So DoCS (Department of Community Services) must be closed down (shut down), because reforms have not worked to this day and if they are left to continue to run within the community, then they will only continue to wreak havoc within the community and all those they involve themselves in.
Did you know, the average couple these days, and yes ones with children, only last an average of 5 years before they break up, I watched that on a channel nine video one the ninemsn website, Thats pretty bad when you think about it, and then also start asking questions like why is this happening? when one would of thought long term relationships would have thought to have been better for all, specially ones with families.
