The National Sorry Day Committee presents its credentials as the long established premier National Advocate for the Stolen Generations.

We are making a national statement to the Australian people.

There is now a real danger of the creation by the Howard government of another Stolen Generation.

I have just spent the morning trying to locate my 5yr old son, under the care of the Department of Child Safety. It appears they lost him awhile also today.

I left work to be home before 11am for our contact visit this morning. By 11:25am, I began ringing to search for my son and the CSO bringing him.

Good News at Last!

The Opposition Party have submitted a formal request to the Crime & Misconduct Commission to have the Department of Child Safety investigated under a Royal Commission Inquiry. This report was submitted Friday 15th June, 2007.

It looks as though we have completed Phase 1 of our justice with DoCS.

Marketers can't seem to stop thinking about the spectacular marketing opportunity afforded by schools.

It's easy to imagine the conversation in the business meeting room: Kids are bored in school -- we can grab their attention with ads! Compulsory schooling creates a captive audience for us -- if we can just get in the door! Schools are perfectly age-segmented -- just what we need!

In just days, the leaders of the thirteen most powerful, most polluting countries on earth are meeting in Germany for the G8+5 summit. Climate change is at the top of the agenda--partly because so many of us fought to get it there. But at the last minute, the US government is flatly refusing any serious action against global warming.

A farmers organisation in Paraguay has asked for urgent international help to try and prevent the eviction of and possible violence against a group of young landless farmers in Pariri Province, and to protest against charges brought against the leader of their organisation, MAP for trying to peacefully support farmers whose lands are being taken over by large soya plantations.

Meanwhile, 78% of the public wants of a ground attack to snuff out he rockets. The government forgets to announce, "Why should we? We've got the Arabs in civil wars in Gaza and Lebanon now.
