While Far North Queensland, the channel country, and much of Queensland's west is experiencing exceptional early summer rains, South East Queensland remains dry as it has done for several years.

The southeast is the most populous area of the State and growing on a daily basis, yet it has no water reserves.

THE SOLUTION... the revised Bradfield Scheme, a National Water Grid, an infrastructure asset owned and operated by the Federal government on behalf of, and in the best interests of, the people of Australia!

If you are on the cruise ship do not look this way it may spoil your day!

I assume you will be following up this breach of the approval or advising us who can as Council have refused to do so despite repeated correspondence from our legal team.

Another large dump truck bought onto site today, they are using them to remove the trees they are knocking down and the rocks further into the site.

Premier Peter Beattie said this afternoon that he had established a high level Response Team to provide advice to State Cabinet on the findings by the Acting State Coroner regarding the death of Mulrunji.

Editors note: Mulrunjl died in the custody of the Queensland police on Palm Island off Townsville. This action caused a huge riot on the island.
