Fight World Bank corruption - Fire Wolfowitz
Submitted by avaaz on Sat, 14/04/2007 - 11:06.
On Friday morning, Paul Wolfowitz -- President Bush's key architect of the Iraq war, now president of the World Bank and self-styled fighter of corruption -- was caught red-handed in a corruption scandal of his own. He pushed a huge pay raise for his girlfriend, and hid the facts from his organization and the world.
He's got to go. The World Bank's board, made up of our governments from around the world, is now deciding whether Wolfowitz should keep his job. An immediate, massive, and global outcry could make the difference. Our petition is three words long: "Sack Paul Wolfowitz." Sign it here:

Fiona Cristian vs Perpetual Limited Update - This  story has almost ended
Submitted by Arthur Cristian on Wed, 28/02/2007 - 13:04.-by Arthur Cristian
Last Wednesday, the day after the 2nd Eureka Stockade 21st February 2007, and the sheriff/security guards took possession of Fiona's home, we had a Sydney North Shore family who came out of the blue (the first one in 7 months) and wanted to buy the house for $900k (for the past 7 months or so all other offers were around the $800k mark leaving us with hardly any money due to bank & legal fees etc & besides we were determined to hold on to the house at all cost but we failed with limited man power at last weeks stockade). We all agreed on the $900k deal & contracts were to be exchanged by this coming Friday 2nd March 2007. This is why we have not said anything since last week until this deal was behind us.

Hugo Chavez's Social Democratic Agenda
Submitted by Stephen Lendman on Thu, 22/02/2007 - 06:38.
- by Stephen Lendman
Hugo Chavez Frias was reelected by an overwhelming nearly two to one margin over his only serious rival on December 3, 2006 giving him a mandate to proceed with his agenda to build a socialist society in the 21st century on a Bolivarian model designed to meet the needs of the current era in Venezuela and Latin America overall. Chavez first announced his intentions on January 30, 2005 at the Fifth World Social Forum in Porto Alegre, Brazil, and his people affirmed they want him to proceed with it in his new term to run until December, 2012.

Depleted Uranium, The Global Menace
Submitted by Callemity on Tue, 20/02/2007 - 11:17.Shortly we are about to see the true lunacy that the Western World has unleashed on itself and the rest of the planet when - without any doubt - the Bush Cartel operating in sheer desperation go ahead with their intentions to secure the 70% of the worlds natural gas supplies so that they can exploit their massive oil fields Stateside. It makes no difference who or what will be harmed providing the multi billion dollar cartels are not 'harmed' by a massive, and moving global shift into properly formed alternative energy sources [especially China, despite the propaganda].
(Ed: click on photo for more shocking depleted uranium evidence.)
This Flash Film http://elequity.com/du/DU.swf is a demonstration on what innocent people endure anytime uranium based items are engaged in any 'warfare' - the new name of Corporate Takeovers.
Water & The Bradfield Scheme...
Submitted by Selwyn Johnston on Tue, 20/02/2007 - 10:41.
- by Selwyn Johnston
While Far North Queensland, the channel country, and much of Queensland's west is experiencing exceptional early summer rains, South East Queensland remains dry as it has done for several years.
The southeast is the most populous area of the State and growing on a daily basis, yet it has no water reserves.
THE SOLUTION... the revised Bradfield Scheme, a National Water Grid, an infrastructure asset owned and operated by the Federal government on behalf of, and in the best interests of, the people of Australia!

Why is the US Health Care System Failing? - Incompetent Management at DHHS...
Submitted by Tim Bolen on Thu, 15/02/2007 - 10:42.

Tuesday, February 13th, 2007
Nobody even tries to hide the fact that the US Health Care System is broken beyond repair. There is a lot of finger-pointing going on, as well there should be. The US health care system costs too much, it's the top three killers of Americans, and Americans don't trust it. It simply doesn't work.
Who's fault is this? Blame lies solidly with the management of the US Department of Health & Human Services (DHHS). Current management is incapable of dealing with health care problems. It has set up a US Health Care system that doesn't work, and has no chance of ever working.
Why is this happening? Because Congress gave DHHS authority over the "structure" of US Health Care and DHHS management can't see "the big picture". Every day we sink deeper into the hole.
